    Responsibilities

    We are seeking an experienced individual who will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Axalta Operational Excellence Program vision, strategy and framework for the Americas region. He/she will provide leadership to AOE site leads, supporting each operation in the development, implementation and the coaching of AOE principles, systems and tools creating a culture of improvement and impacting the operational scorecard. This individual will provide professional technical leadership and act as a mentor to both the AOE site lead and the site senior leadership.  

    1. Lead in the conception, definition and ownership of the Axalta Operational Excellence framework, including the development of the Lean Maturity Assessment and review process.
    2. Lead the regional AOE implementation plan aligned to Global AOE Strategy.
    3. Support the site leadership teams and the site AOE in the implementation of the AOE program offering mentoring, knowledge transfer and personal development to all.
    4. Act as a primary internal and external interface for all key stakeholders on all AOE progression and future development
    5. Challenge the business on their lean thinking and behaviors and drive a culture of high performance and efficiency.
    6. Align the AOE tiered visual performance management systems across all functions ensuring compliance, performance and continuous improvement of the system with full ‘wall to wall’ integration.
    7. Act as a resource for identifying improvement opportunities, efficiency improvements and cost reductions through established lean methodologies.
    8. Drive Best Practice sharing through A3 thinking across all sites and functions, develop and own an easy-to-use system for holding all information to be shared.
    9. Challenge existing processes and explore new ways of working, benchmarking against other recognized/accredited organizations.
    10. Responsible for the governance and management of the daily, weekly, monthly AOE reporting systems, including the capture and tracking of AOE Benefits at the Regional level.

    Qualifications

     

    • Lead a business transformation program from design to sustainability.
    • Detailed understanding of Lean and Structured Continuous Improvement with 10 years of experience. Manufacturing experience a plus.
    • Experience of operating across multiple business levels, building and sustaining relationships from Senior Leaders to Frontline teams in an organization.
    • Case study evidence of performance improvement in terms of operational scorecards.
    • Demonstrable senior management experience within High Performing Business environments.
    • Highly developed leadership and coaching skills.
    • Excellent Project Management skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to simultaneously understand strategic concepts and operational details - Extracting, Creating & Analyzing Data translating it into information.
    • Excellent Coaching & mentoring skills.
    • Flexible and able to respond quickly and appropriately to changing business needs.

     

    Preferred

    • Bachelor’s Degree.
    • Ability to design, deliver and train Lean Principles and Systems.
    • Ability to understand and communicate strategic concepts and then seamlessly move into detail.
    • Strong communicator (written / presenting / training / listening), with the ability to work and manage virtually.
    • Strong computer skills with a technical orientation.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, SharePoint and able to learn new tools.
    • Ability to work across multifunctional groups in a remote setting globally and corporately.
    • Highly motivated, customer-oriented individual with good communication, planning, and people skills.
    • Six Sigma certification preferred.
