    Position Summary:


    The individual in this role will build the long-term strategic roadmap for Business Warehouse architecture with our focus on giving Axalta the Business Insight data at a speed needed to enable decision taking at the tactical as well as strategic level.   She/he will align BW strategy and planning with the business goals and objectives of the businesses (Refinish, Industrial, OEM) as well as the functions (Operations, Supply chain, Finance, Sourcing, etc.) in alignment with our overall Information Architecture strategy and roadmap.  The alignment is at the global level covering all the regions.  He/she will also be expected to be tier 3 expert across all IT systems to solve any issue and be willing to do whatever is necessary to ensure that business teams can focus on the business.  This position will be a key role in designing and delivering the BW Infrastructure for Axalta globally working in alignment with the BI Leader.


    Core Responsibilities:


    Technical Skills

    • Lead in designing, specifying BW solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.
    • As part of the global BI & Reporting team, drive business insights by translating business requirements into IT solutions in an agile approach to create Proof of Concepts on key solutions working with business leaders as necessary
    • Work with the Project Managers and Business Analysts to develop high level project schedule resource plans for implementation projects.
    • Be proficient in the SAP BW space (including reporting and visualization tools) and understanding connectivity to multiple IT technology platforms, Web-Technology,  Database Technologies
    • Maintain very close alignment with the regional CIO’s and business people generating IT demand  in line with their business roadmap and integrate that demand into the BI & Reporting global  roadmap by working with the global BI team  
    • Promote the use of a cloud and shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve how information flows supporting high levels of automation and ensuring a seamless end-user experience
    • Proficient in BW on HANA environment with knowledge of BW4HANA environment.  Knowledge on migrating from SAP BW to SAP on HANA or SAP BW4HANA environments preferred.

    Required education, skills and experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline
    • Creativity and ability to think outside the box, taking initiative in moving technical ideas forward with clarity
    • Strong project management skills
    • Ability to handle high pressure situations while still being attentive to the detail and excellent work product required
    • Familiar with the software development life cycle, including design, implementation, maintenance, and support
    • Willingness to travel at least 30% within your region with possible travel across the US, and potentially periodic international trips
