    Responsibilities

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include:

    • Making sure that maintenance jobs are in accordance with all legal codes, regulations and company standards.
    • Ensuring housekeeping, productivity, and quality of work standards are maintained within the maintenance department.
    • Achieving 98% reliability on all maintenance jobs.
    • Investigating, providing and implementing corrective measures for equipment failures near misses and all safety incidents.
    • Developing maintenance procedures and ensuring implementation.
    • Maintaining function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
    • Leading the Process Safety Management Mechanical Integrity element.
    • Executing the work schedules to maintain schedule compliance and priority.
    • Assigning jobs per schedule (revised for any emergency orders or manpower variations) in a manner that maximizes productivity and as per plant priorities.
    • Assuring that Maintenance personnel have the proper skills training as well as safety and process training to repair equipment.
    • Developing and executing training plan for maintenance technicians.
    • Conducting field audits during and after work is completed to ensure that jobs are performed safely and effectively as scheduled.
    • Routinely reviewing work order backlog to ensure timely attention to requested work.
    • Routinely reviewing maintenance performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement of the system.
    • Ensuring that mechanics time is properly assigned to the work
    • Ensure accurate recorded histories in work order completions.
    • Complete maintenance jobs in accordance with the highest standards of efficiency.
    • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
    • Streamline associated repair costs and job execution.
    • Prepare permits and Job safety analysis.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    The successful candidate will have Post-secondary education in a related field with a minimum 10 years’ experience in plant maintenance in a chemical manufacturing facility.

     

    • Proven experience as maintenance supervisor
    • Experience in planning maintenance operations
    • Solid understanding of technical aspects of mechanical, electrical systems. Knowledge of PLC would be an asset.
    • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
    • Ability to keep track of and report on activity
    • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
    • Post-secondary education in a related field
    • Root cause failure analysis tools ( Fish borne, Fault tree analysis etc);
