    Due to continued growth, our Mt. Clemens, MI facility, considered to be one of Axalta's hub worldwide, is looking to hire a Process Engineer-Paint Manufacturing, for our coatings manufacturing operation.


    The  Process Engineer-Paint Manufacturing is responsible for technical, equipment, and process support for paint manufacturing. The process engineer focuses on both day to day support and mid to long term improvements to ensure area safety, quality, and production targets are achieved. Specific responsibilities include:


    • Provide technical assistance in support of operations to ensure safety, quality, and production goals are met. Support a 24/7 manufacturing process.
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment and process issues
    • Lead root cause failure analysis and implement corrective action recommendations related to equipment failure and process deviations
    • Lead continuous improvement Kaizens and projects in the paint manufacturing area
    • Facilitate process hazard analyses and prestart up safety reviews in the paint manufacturing area
    • Maintains an updated process technology package and formally manages changes to the process
    • Lead safety, quality, and reliability incident investigations
    • Develop or update operating procedures for new process or equipment installation
    • Generate and analyze key performance indicator metric data and statistical process control data


    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred)
    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment (2+ years preferred)
    • Strong analytical tools and a comfort level using data to solve problems
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
