    This role is responsible for planning, controlling and scheduling all activities supporting assigned inventories. By assessing both external and internal trends that may impact the supply chain team, the role develops and implements standard evaluation tools, metrics, training and development. The successful candidate uses lean manufacturing methodologies to drive supply chain excellence. Responsible for balancing inventory levels with demand to support targets consistent with customer service levels and inventory turn targets.


    The role requires strong collaboration with the Business Managers, Operations, Sales, Technical, Customer Service and Management to meet critical business goals.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Monitor and deliver inventory health reporting and providing process improvement recommendations
    • Establish and implement policy and procedures across sites in line with global inventory improvement program
    • New product introduction and product sunset process
    • Serves as a point of contact in the supply chain team for workflows/workstream management during product changes and SKU consolidation initiatives 
    • Network production change management (integrations and production movements)
    • Deriving demand plan from the OMP Planning System & convert planed orders into process orders (SAP) for execution, maintenance of master data & cleaning, MOC action items for new Product launch & phase outs.
    • Develop inventory targets and manage production to achieve targeted inventory levels on both a cost and unit basis.
    • Maintain finished goods inventory at target levels in ensure high service levels, i.e. product availability(ATP). 
    • Support the S&OP process meetings to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications. Update Master Production Plan as necessary.
    • Participate in SC long term budgeting by Providing inventory data for period.
    • Participate in Cross functional projects to improve Productivity.


    Qualification & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
    • Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience in a planning function for a manufacturing company. 

    Essential Skills/Knowledge:

    • Ability to manage large data sets and analyze for themes, patterns and shifts in performance metrics. 
    • Can work with cross functional teams to identify and improve workflows to a process
    • Liaison between product managers and operations to ensure new products are setup for appropriate production planning
    • Troubleshoot supply issues and diagnose root cause
    • Capable of leading small to medium projects coordinating team members to accomplish goals
    • Detail oriented and capable of articulating cause and effect with data to support
    • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand and replenishment processes (MRP & DRP).
    • Experience of Planning of batch processes in coatings or related industry strongly preferred
    • Experience managing short term projects
    • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
    • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
    • Proficient in SAP & planning tools, MS office applications.
    • Preferred knowledge of Six Sigma certification & Knowledge of Lean Methodologies
