    Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY- SALES REPRESENTATIVE


    Axalta is not looking for the seasoned coatings sales representative. We want fresh minds with the fresh ideas, people willing to learn, grow, that strive for success. The position is an entry level sales training program designed to acclimate sales associate to Axalta and the powder coating industry through an engaging immersion and mentoring program.     Primary Duties Will Include:

    • Works with and supports Sales Mentor in setting and achieving the specific target goals for their areas.
    • Travels throughout assigned district to assist territory sales reps to solicit orders and develop effective customer relationships, with an emphasis on improving selling skills and identifying customer and product targets.
    • Establishes priorities, manage performance, and assist sales teams in promoting sales
    • Prepares periodic sales presentations showing sales volume and potential sales
    • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.

    Incumbent must be able to travel extensively by car or air as needed (company car provided); Frequent extended work days are required, most of travel and customer entertaining will be on personal time, evenings and weekends.

    Qualifications

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES

    • A Bachelors degree from and accredited college or university
    • A minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
    • Ability to work independently but also able to work as a team player in a collaborative environment
    • Strong critical-thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Can-do mindset with a winning attitude
    • Ability to build excellent client relationships; strong rapport building and customer service skills
    • Eagerness to learn and maintain professional and technical knowledge through formal training and “roll up your sleeves” learning
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams of the organization
    • Demonstrated high ethical standards
    • Professional appearance is a must
    • Bilingual - highly preferred
