    Responsibilities

    The primary purpose of this position is to develop and drive the performance analytics capability within Axalta’s Procurement organization globally.  This hands-on role will partner with IT to implement a procurement data warehouse, analytic and reporting capability, and build reports, dashboards and data insights that will be used by global and regional procurement to drive and manage performance. 

     

    The successful candidate will deliver on all aspects of the procurement data lifecycle, including data migration, formatting, validation, staging, and visualization, as well as management of recurring processes to import data from multiple systems, refining the data into a usable format, and building user application tools for accessing the data. Maintaining and optimizing a core portfolio of performance reports for our global teams and presenting results to the procurement leadership team is also a key component of this position.

     

    This position will report directly into the Director of Global PS&E, and is based in our Philadelphia, PA headquarters. 

     

    Main Responsibilities

    • Provide direction to a global team of 4 team members.
    • Manage and distribute global portfolio of reports and analytics; Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new and existing reports and analytics.
    • Maintain all documentation and procedures regarding data warehouse processes
    • Manage the integration of data from new acquisitions and joint ventures into the global procurement data warehouse
    • Develop data migration paths between SAP (QP1/RP1/RDP) and Ariba and the data warehouse
    • Ensure proper data governance and integrity through validation and testing
    • Develop analytics toolkit using Microsoft tools, including SQL Server, Office 2016, SharePoint, Office 365, Access, and Power BI, with heavy use of T-SQL coding on Microsoft’s Management Studios software
    • Maintain and improve performance reporting on $2B+ in annual invoice and goods receipt transactions (Direct and Indirect spend)
    • Provide visibility of buyers’ savings performance versus targets
    • Administer the procurement organization’s global SharePoint site for ~130 users
    • Improve dashboarding and visualization for end users’ interaction with purchasing data

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in data, analytics, and procurement spend visibility
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, statistics, supply chain / operations management, business administration, or finance
    • Advanced proficiency in Access and Excel
    • Experience with reporting & visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik View
    • Experience with Microsoft reporting technologies such as SSRS, SSIS, SQL
    • Experience in Data Warehouse ETL/ELT technical Development
    • Proficient in Data Design/Modelling
    • Innovative thinker that enjoys working with emerging technologies
    • Proven experience applying critical thinking skills, demonstrated expertise with all excel functions and linear programs
    • This position requires strong detail orientation, as well as analytical, time management, root cause analysis and communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Ability to organize, plan, prioritize and maintain project flexibility and deliver by deadline
    • Demonstrated ability to lead a team towards shared objectives
    • Capable of working within a matrix organization model that value collaboration and communication
    • Knowledge of SAP/Ariba a plus
    • Procurement / PTP knowledge a plus, including management of classification for direct material and indirect spend
