    Responsibilities

    Alignment / Product Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of products between the Technical Development team and the Ajax Manufacturing team. Once products are aligned, responsibility shifts to managing products through the production process, using continuous improvement to improve productivity, ensure in-spec products and drive quality performance and customer satisfaction. The role also includes direct communication with customer account teams to ensure products are delivering value to our customers, and leading investigation and resolution of customer concerns and complaints.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES will include:

    • Validate and align new and modified product formulas for manufacturing, in accordance with site procedures.
    • Manage and maintain formulas and manufacturing instructions (BOMs, Routings)
    • Complete batch card checks/adjustments prior to release to production.
    • Drive continuous improvement efforts to support quality and productivity objectives.
    • Provide troubleshooting and investigation support for nonconforming batches.
    • Lead / coordinate investigation of customer complaints per customer and site requirements, including assignment and completion of corrective actions.
    • Lead / coordinate investigation of internal batch quality issues per site procedures, including assignment and completion of corrective actions.
    • Implement continuous improvements to the manufacturing process.
    • Monitor product performance in Quality Assurance and in the Manufacturing Process to ensure reproducibility between batches.
    • Monitor product conformance to specification and adjusting the product accordingly.

    Qualifications

    • Appropriate science or engineering degree, or equivalent.
    • 1-2 years of laboratory experience
    • Paint industry experience
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
    • Demonstrated ability to manage various on-going projects and prioritize work in a dynamic environment
    • Previous paint testing and/or color matching experience an asset
    • Ability to gather, assimilate, and act on customer requests and represent self in a professional manner.
    • Demonstrated effective communication skills (written, oral and presentation) in English required as well as strong interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills
    • Experience in a manufacturing operations environment an asset
    • Previous customer interface roles an asset
