    Responsibilities

    Axalta’s Global Human Resources Department is seeking a 6-month co-op to take on the responsibility of “Program Manager – University Relations” in partnership with the Global Director, Talent Acquisition.  This individual will coordinate and direct the day-to-day HR operations, processes and initiatives for all US-based interns and co-ops.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Build a comprehensive understanding of the strategic intent and fundamentals of the Axalta InventU Program.
    • Recommend program improvements based upon Industry Best Practices
    • Propose Program Governance as it is aligned with the TA COE
    • Work with TA COE and HR to create the 2010 Intern & Co-Op Demand Plan
    • Manage and coordinate relationships and engagements with Core schools to support the intern & co-op hiring initiatives for 2020
    • Leverage the Demand Plan to manage and coordinate the sourcing activities and recruiting systems in partnership with the TA COE to fill co-ops, interns and rotation programs throughout the US
    • Ensure the smooth execution of the weekly Guest Speaker Series for the 2019 Summer Interns including site logistics, technology considerations, preparation of speakers and management of Q&A session
    • Ensure that all tactical site HR processes supporting the broader Program are aligned with the strategic intent of the 2019 Internship Program. This includes:
      • Appropriate site on-boarding processes
      • Mid-Internship Performance Review Process
      • End-of-Internship Performance Review Process
      • Conversion Process
    • Ensure that all site interns are participating and integrated into the Key Program initiatives which include:
      • Assignment of Key Project(s)by Hiring Manager
      • Assignment of Peer Mentor
      • Participation in the weekly Guest Speaker Series
      • Attendance in the Summer Summit in Philadelphia
      • Formal business presentation of Key Project with site leadership at the conclusion of the Program
    • Generate the key analytics and metrics for the 2019 to understand program performance

    Qualifications

     

    • Pursuing Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or Related field while maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.5.
    • Must possess a high degree of integrity and cultural awareness, be able to handle confidential information, possess effective communication, presentation and influence skills.
    • Experience with benchmarking HR industry best practices in co-op/intern program development and diversity recruiting is preferred
    • Some exposure/knowledge of employment law desired.
    • Strong communication skills to allow for professional interaction with external customers, Career Planning and Placement offices, professors and applicants at target universities required
    • Strong organizational and computer skills required
    • Confidence, professional communication skills and demeanor to interact with leadership, Hiring Managers and HR Managers across all sites, businesses and functional areas is required.
